Néstor Anaya Marín, fsc, was appointed Rector for the following triennium years, from 2023 to 2026.                                                            

Néstor Anaya Marín, fsc, was appointed as Rector at Universidad La Salle México for the following 2023 – 2026 triennium. He has 30 years of experience in the educational field, as a Teacher, Principal, Advisor of the Accreditation Processes, President of Organisms and Responsible for Educational Mission. In our house of studies, he has been a student and member of the Governing Board.

The new Rector of La Salle México will take in office on September 1st.

Néstor Anaya studied the Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education and Religious Science, both at Universidad La Salle México, and in Middle Education with a specialty in Spanish at the Normal Superior FEP University. In the same way, he completed his Master’s Degree in Education and Management and a Specialty in Psycho-pedagogic Strategies, also in our Academic Institution.

Likewise, he finished his Diploma Course in Instrumental Enrichment Program by the Universidad La Salle – Hadassah Wizo Canada Research Institute (Jerusalem). He was awarded the Brother Miguel Febres Cordero medal “Hermano Miguel Febres Cordero at la Salle”, as well as the National Award 1993 “The best students of Mexico” (“Los Mejores Estudiantes de México”) granted by the Diario de México, the National Council of Science and Technology (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología) (CONACYT), the National Association of Universities and Institutions of Higher Education (Asociación Nacional de Universidades e Instituciones de Educación Superior) (ANUIES) and the Mexican Institute of Culture, National Ateneo of Arts, Writing, Science and Technology (Instituto Mexicano de Cultura, Ateneo Nacional de Arte, Letras, Ciencia y Tecnología) (ATENALCYT).

During his professional career, he held positions as the Principal and Teacher of different Lasallian works in our country, at the levels of Elementary, Middle-School and High-school Education. He was also an Advisor to the Accreditation model of the National Confederation of Private Schools; President of the Federation of Private Schools, at that moment referred to as Federal District; Principal at Integral Formation and University of Well-being, in La Salle Bajío. Furthermore, he was General Director of the Educational Mission and member of the Governing Board of the La Salle Mexico and Bajío Universities.

Prior to his appointment, Brother Néstor worked as International Secretary for the Educational Mission at the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Rome. As the new rector of Universidad La Salle México, he will succeed José Francisco Flores Gamio, Franciscan; who after two years as rector will become Visitor of the Antilles- Mexico South District.
